The Titus Robert's House is reportedly the oldest remaining house on Bristol Ct.'s Main St.  It is thought to have been built by early clockmaker Titus M. Roberts  around 1820.  It was in danger of being razed to make way for a parking lot for the expansion of the public library, when preservationist asked that someone do something to avoid its destruction.

Connecticut's Bristol Old Tyme Fiddlers Club, Inc. is an amazing organization that has agreed to "adopt" this building after it is moved across the street and restored.  The building has been stripped of several commercial additions and moved across the where a foundation has been created and the house is about to be placed on that foundation.

In the meantime you can reach us at [860] 582-9707. We are looking forward to hearing from you. You can also contact us at our e-mail address: cenekt@worldnet.att.net.
