The Bristol Old Tyme Fiddlers Club Museum is a collaborative effort of several groups of people working together to accomplish a common goal.  The groups are listed below.

The City of Bristol  has been involved early and often in the attempt to save this house.  They anticipated some of the concerns and dealt with them early on.  They worked through the Purchasing Department to create the RFP which resulted in the contract to save this house from demolition.  They paid for the historical assessment by historical architect David F. Ransom that chronicled the history and value of the  building.  They paid for hazardous abatement of the building and its extraneous additions, as well as for the removal of those additions.  The house was located at 308 Main st., and the City of Bristol contributed  a building lot right across the street at 313 Main St.  There is no way to adequately thank them for all of their contributions.

Bristol is a city which values, and displays its roots.  Early on, the city tried to anticipate the direction in which this project might go by creating a new historic demolition ordinance that would help preservationist identify and preserve our city's history.  When the time came for action, local preservationist insisted that the City of Bristol, working through the Library Building Committee, look for alternatives to demolition.  Their suggestions were for adaptive reuse, dismantling the building, or moving the building.

The CBOTFC has a 30 year history of service to our community. They also have committed to  a new venture that moves them forward into the future while preserving their own history and an important piece of Bristol's History.  This project would not be possible without a suitable and wonderful end use for this house.
